Coverage and sources

Updated September 21, 2026. Guides use the same cleaned identities as the directory, including third-party research sources source profiles and 2080’s research archive. Publisher records and unclassified-only records are excluded. Source verification badges do not mean independent verification by 2080.

Eligibility and matching

Every guide has at least eight matching investors. Criteria use explicit directory tags. Target markets are distinct from headquarters; funding rounds are distinct from business development stages. Regional markets and generalist sectors are not inferred into narrower categories. VC guides include the Venture Capital classification; wider investor guides can include angels, funds and other investor types.

Duplicates and identity review

Confirmed duplicate identities are consolidated before counting. Withheld identities are excluded. Identical selections are consolidated; new combinations must narrow their smallest parent by more than 10%. Unresolved identities can still require review. Counts represent directory coverage, not market statistics.

Names, access and ordering

Guides show names, logos and investor types alphabetically. Full profiles and available contacts require verified sign-in. No CSV export or private contact data is published here. Missing details remain unspecified. Inclusion is not a recommendation or evidence of current investment activity.

Updates

Guides rebuild from the current directory during deployment. This is not scheduled re-verification of source websites. Confirm mandates and pitch routes directly. Existing URLs are retained where eligible; identical selections link to a consolidated canonical guide.
